The ballpark in Jupiter is pretty lackluster. It is shared by both the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals as well as being the spring training home for both the Marlins and Cardinals. Not much character to the place.
But who needs character from a ballpark when you can go a ballpark with a character?
Hey look - it's Dennis Martinez! A former great if not quite a former Orioles great.
Martinez liked the way Erik sashayed past.
Marc went into the game with a mission - to get us on the field. The first thing he did when we entered the park was to sign us up with guest relations.
Our mission which we chose to accept was to team up to try to hit water balloons with a bat. The winning team would win stuffed ponies. Matt and Erik needed some privacy to plan their strategy but I still took a few sneaky shots.
This mascot was a little too overly friendly.
Not many people at the ballpark.
One thing I didn't understand about the whole thing was that we were all given our ponies before we even competed.
Snowflake was a favorite.
Finally we got the call.
Erik and Matt clearly were the winners but all four of us received ponies so we were happy.
Champion!

Stuffed Pony Centipede
We left after 9. The Cardinals won in the bottom of the 11th on a double. We didn't have time for that though. We had to throw ponies over a fence.
No!!!! Snowflake!
Erik ran for help.
